Not all surgeries are the same: surgical tiers — Unlike some fixed indemnity plans that pay a single surgical benefit, a Health ProtectorGuard indemnity plan recognizes some surgeries are more expensive and complicated than others. It pays more for some surgeries than for others and includes another benefit if an assistant surgeon is involved.
Intensive care/Critical care benefits — Intensive care and critical care unit benefits are paid IN ADDITION to the daily inpatient hospital confinement benefit. That’s more benefits paid for more serious hospitalizations with their added costs.
